Senator Mike Regan Appointed to Key Senate Committees

HARRISBURG (Jan. 23, 2017) Senator Mike Regan (R-31) has been appointed to serve on six Senate committees which will allow him to advance the interests of York and Cumberland County residents.

Regan was appointed to serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Communications & Technology Committee.  “Having a leadership role on this committee will allow me to impact areas of state policy that are of great importance to our regional economy, including emergency dispatching, cable television and internet capabilities,” Sen. Regan stated.

He was also appointed to serve on the Senate Law & Justice Committee; Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee; Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure Committee; State Government Committee; and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee.

“As the committee process lays the foundation for bills to advance to the full Senate and ultimately the governor’s desk, I welcome our committees’ responsibility to analyze and act upon legislation to improve the lives of every Pennsylvanian.  I am honored to serve and eager to work with the committee chairs and my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to produce thoughtfully crafted and high-impact legislation.”

Committees began conducting hearings and holding voting meetings today, when the Senate returned for the 2017-2018 legislative session.
