Media Advisory – Senator Mike Regan Announces $900,000 in MTF Award for East Penn Drive Project

Senator Mike Regan (R- Cumberland/York) will be joined by local officials and project developers to announce $900,000 in Multi-modal Transportation Funding for improvements to East Penn Drive at 10:15AM on Tuesday, November 21 at Adams Ricci Park in East Pennsboro Township.

Senator Regan will be joined by: Cumberland County officials, East Pennsboro Township officials, Representative Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland), John Murphy (199 Associates), and Ken Tuckey (Chair, Cumberland County Industrial Authority).

The group will discuss the recent award and how it will benefit the new mixed-use land development. The current two-lane footprint of East Penn Drive is unable to safely handle the increased traffic and access to the development.

Adams-Ricci is divided by East Penn Drive. A pedestrian/bicycle bridge will built to connect the two sides of the park. Pedestrian/bicycle paths will be installed to connect existing nodes with both Adams-Ricci and the proposed development, furthering the township’s goal of creating a fully connected pedestrian accessible township.
